Melancholy is the first collaboration of Dominic Martin, known as Toonorth, along Urban Wave records. Urban Waves, who is known to host remarkable artist and to offer something different on each release, held their word and brought this tremendous instrumental bag of tunes.

Melancholy is a story in itself. From the first track to the last, you may not realise the nearly half an hour that flew by, just like a power-nap. The smooth hip hop beats along with a rich bass, well built-up snares and the luscious downtempo rhythms prevailing througout the album altogether surprisingly creates an abstract instrumental beauty. Well the only Melancholy possible for a music lover is to not listen to this ‘chef-d’oeuvre’.

The album was released on October 2015 and Toonorth has already released another ep at the debut of this year, which is Anemoia available on BLVNT records. The Oregon based artist also made appearance on Turbo Tape and on Lush Loops records.

Melancholy is free for download but nothing prevents you from supporting the artist and the record label.
