Andy Shauf : The Party

So, mood for today is a record that I discovered several months ago, but yeah, good music tend to stick with you, just listen to these and savour those alternative peaks you’ll reach with this album… you may then still be talking about the experience months later.

The Party is the latest release from Andy Shauf, and he came up with words you always dwell to find and chords you’ll always yearn to hear, with Colin Nealis on the strings. The 10-track record was self-produced and it’s the manifestation itself of pure creativity, really reminding and bringing about the perspective of what the 60’s and 70’s legends were all about.

The album starts with a magician thinking he’s early to the party and twists his ankle in overthinking… doesn’t make any sense indeed but things will only uncover upon listen. If it’s still nonsense, then gently remember that’s art and you’re not supposed to find any.

The album was created with care and credits goes to Andy Shauf ,who produced, performed and arranged the tracks. It was recorded at Studio One in Regina, Saskatchewan  and mixed by Noah Georgeson at Banner Mountain Studios (LA). Plus it also went through Ontario to be mastered by Philip Shaw Bova.

So, get down to this party and Order on digital format or buy the CD on Bandcamp, with just a click, and let the world know what you think about it.
